Brothers

Nothing melts my heart faster than watching these two boys of mine play together.
Their love astounds me. It is limitless.
I know that in the not-so-distant-future these moments may become few and far between, but for right now I want to remember what pure joy and unconditional love looks like.

Hey, Where You Been?!

It's been forever since I've updated this little 'ol blog of mine. My apologies to my two loyal readers.
Our lives seem utterly uneventful most days, but here are a few of the things that have filled our days.

Miles and Liam are the best of buds and have decided that hanging out in Liam's crib is pretty much the most fun ever!

Lots of time is spent snuggling this handsome little man; that is when he actually lets me snuggle.

Liam is now sitting up by himself. He is SO big.  (Photos are blurry - don't judge snapping a still shot of a new and slightly wobbly sitter is a little harder than it sounds)

My hair is getting out-of-control long and with little grabby hands around I have had to get creative with some updo's. I pretty much rock the bun every single day.  It might be time for a cut?

Liam spends most of his time smiling; he really is so happy.

There is nothing sweeter than watching these two play together. I love how much they love each other.  I know it won't always be this way, but for now I'm reveling in the sweetness of it.

We rang in the New Year by chill'n in the basement while the kiddo's slept soundly in their beds. Ahhh, quiet, sweet, quiet.

We had one GINORMOUS snow storm.  That is about 18" on top of my car. ICK!

And Gabe had a birthday, shout HURRAY!  Yea, it looks like I need some spelling lessons :)

Snuggles and Bubbles

Miles: Mom will you read me a book.
Me: Sure, which one do you want?
Miles: Let's go in my room and pick. You can bring Liam too.
Me: Ok, let's go pick.
Miles: I have a great idea. You can put Liam in my bed and we can snuggle and you read a book.
Me: That does sound like a great idea.

Have I mentioned how much I love babies and bath-time?

The word love almost seems inadequate to describe how I feel about these two boys.
Each of them carries a piece of my heart.

4 Weeks of Liam

WOW! Having two kids is a busy job. I can hardly find time to shower and feed myself let alone find time to blog.  As always time never fails to amaze me.  I can't believe Liam is already 4 weeks old.
I had forgotten how much work new born babies are. I love the sleepy, snuggly stage but I feel like I am constantly feeding him, changing him, or trying to figure out what else it is he could possibly be fussing about. It has been really hard dividing my time between a needing new born and an active three year old.
It should be said though, overall Miles has been super great about everything.

The first night home from the hospital was a major wake up call...we spent a lot of time awake. In the weeks since Liam has slowly straightened out his days and nights. The last few nights he has been sleeping about 4 hour stretches. So even though I'm still tired, I'm not completely exhausted.  Unfortunately he has reflux (just like Miles did) so he spends a lot of time grunting and wiggling, but at least we caught it earlier this time and he's not screaming in pain. All things considered he's really been a good baby...but the six week peak is just around the corner so don't hold me to that.

When Liam was born we thought he looked a lot like Miles, but the more time that passes the more his own individual look starts to develop. We just love him to pieces and think he's absolutely adorable.
Here are some of our favorite shots from the last month.
