Let's Get Dirty

So my friend, Robyn, (the one making googly eyes at me) talked us into doing "The Dirty Dash" with her.
I Thought we looked pretty cute when we headed out the door.
 And when we arrived.

But after a 3.1 mile muddy obstacle course we were looking a little, well, a little like this...
(don't mind my sunglasses that look like big dorky goggle on top of my head)

Getting muddy was a BLAST. Seriously, it was SO MUCH FUN!
Wow - I really look like I need a nap

cleaning up however; was not.

That water was FREEZING. No joke, painfully cold.
Miles thought it was hilarious watching three grown women screaming each time the water touched our skin.

Man, I have some awesome friends that talk me into doing some crazy, fun, adventurous things.
Even if Jana looks like she is thoroughly enjoying torturing me with that freezing cold water.

Friends, Muscles, and Snow

In no particular order.

We have had some crazy amounts of snow.  Don't believe me? See for yourself...
It goes up to Miles' thighs. He's not kneeling in this picture - he's standing! There were some spots where it went up to my knees. Insanity.

I have a very dear friend (Hi, Robyn!) who has the second cutest kids in the world :)
Our two oldest boys are fairly close in age and have become very good playmates.
We've had several play dates, but for some reason this is the first one we've caught on film.
I think it was cause Ollie looked so adorably funny in those construction goggles.

Miles loves to show off his muscles, but for some reason thinks they are his elbows.
We've been trying to explain and teach him how to properly show off his guns, but it didn't go so well.

Falling for Fall

I have decided that fall is officially my favorite season.
The weather is cool and the air is crisp; so drinking hot chocolate no longer seems weird and fall fashions are always a favorite since I love a good sweater.  Not to mention the beautiful changes I see outside my window.

We have tried to make the most of the season and pack in as many memories as possible.
This means days at the park and getting creative with our over-the-top leaf collection.
