2010 Year in Review

Here are a few highlights from the year 2010 at the Lucero house.

1. Miles turned one
2. I successfully completed my dietetic internship
3. I passed my registration exam
4. Gabe was called to be the executive secretary for our ward
5. Gabe & I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary
6. I officially joined the ranks of those in their "upper-twenties"
7. Gabe prepared to say good-bye to his twenties (yup he's that old)
8. Miles morphed into an adorable toddler and developed an impressive vocabulary
9. We learned how to be thankful for what we have
10. We were reminded that life is full of hardships and learned how to more fully rely on our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ.

This has been quite the year and I am honestly relieved to have it behind us. I look forward to 2011 with renewed hope and can't wait to see what it has in store for our little family.

So, what are our goals for 2011?
1. Continue daily scripture study & prayer
2. Attend the temple once a month
3. Keep my camera near by so I don't miss a thing (I missed some cute stuff last year)
4. Move on to new jobs
5. Acknowledge something I'm thankful for every day
6. Act on promptings from the spirit
7. Establish consistent family home evening
8. Be positive, be kind, be grateful, be hopeful, be faithful

Happy New Year!

I Resolve...

  1. to take better care of my body. Honestly, it is high time I start practicing what I preach.
  2. to be more cheerful, patient and positive. Really I just want to be someone people want to be around and say nice things about when I die.
  3. to serve others. I would really love it if I could show Miles the joy that comes from service.
  4. to give my family all the love I have. They do so much for me and I often feel they deserve more than I give. They are my world and I should treat them as such.
  5. to have more confidence in myself. This one will be the hardest for me. "I think I can, I think I can..."
Here's to a new year!
