  7. Is such a happy boy and loves to laugh.
  8. Reaches for anything in sight and is getting pretty good at it.

WORLD'S #1 DAD!

Gabe's first father's day was a success! He loved his gift and the praises he received ALL day long.
He's such a good Daddy (and husband), he deserved a special day. I think the biggest event of the day was when we (and a bunch of other new parents) had to sing in sacrament meeting. I know what you're thinking, "wait a minute...the Lucero's don't sing!?" That's right, we don't sing - we lip sync ;).
After church we went to my parent's house for dinner and a movie, for those of you that don't know my dad those are his three favorite things; food, family, & movies.
All in all it was a really great day. I am so grateful to Gabe and my Dad, for all they do for me and everything they sacrifice for their families.

Pictures I Just Had to Share

I know, my blog has turned into a shrine of Miles. If my life consisted of more than staying home with him all day, I swear I would post about something else.
As for now however, this is what's new with Miles. He's become an escape artist.
I swaddled him for a nap the other day, but when I went in to check on him this is what I found.
He still loves bath time.
Next time I'll have to get a shot of his chubby legs
He tries to SIT UP whenever possible.
So his Bumbo is our new best friend. He loves TV!
He lost interest in me as soon as Gabe turned it on.

Major Milestone #3

Rice Cereal Anyone?

Obviously he's not to sure about it.

After a while he started to warm up to the idea.

By the end he was a mess and clearly a little freaked out.

He was glad to get the bottle back - yay for familiarity!

We started him on cereal last Sunday (June 7th) and now a week later he has almost got it down. His feeding tonight went so fast and most of it even went in his mouth!

Things I've Learned ::Part 2::

  1. Give it time, it gets better!
  2. A few tears never hurt anyone
  3. A schedule helps, but sometimes you have to follow their lead
  4. Watching your child have a CT is the scariest thing ever
  5. Taking time for yourself is a must! (I still struggle with this though)
  6. Babies like TV
  7. Listen to your baby, they really are trying to tell you something - once you figure out their cues it gets so much easier - Patience is a virtue
  8. Getting up at 3:00 am is so much harder when you KNOW they can make it til 6:00 - patience is a virtue
  9. When you're a mom time goes by at warp speed
  10. If its possible, I love Miles more every day.
