Independence day...

...Miles' first major holiday!

No 4th of July weekend is complete in the Lucero house without going to the Cache Valley Cruise-in. Miles was such a good boy! He even managed to take a short nap despite all the noise. I must admit, the Cruise-in is NOT my favorite event and I only hope that one day Miles will love cars as much as Gabe so they can go together and leave me home ;).
After the Cruise-in we headed home for a much needed nap after a day in the sun. Miles protested, who wants to take a nap after all that excitement?!

We hope everyone else had a fun weekend!

I don't think I've ever seen anything cuter than Miles in that floppy hat! That sweet face makes all the sleepless nights almost seem worth it.

I don't know what it is about his face in this picture, but he looks so grown up. He really loves going for walks in the Baby Bjorn - his head goes side to side trying to take everything in.

It really is a blessing that our children are so cute. They might not survive childhood without those sweet faces. Our Father in Heaven knew what he was doing.

He does look so cute in that floppy hat. What great pictures. You are doing a great job Sarah. Unfortunately worrying that you are not a good mother or that you are doing something wrong is part of the Job. We all do it. But these sweet little people really are worth all of the worry and insomnia. It will get better and he will just keep getting cuter. I am so glad that you had a fun Holiday. Love you Sarah and wish you were closer so we could get together and talk about our kids more often!

That smile is adorable, it's hard to be upset about losing sleep looking at it! I'm glad to know someone else has lived in Cache Valley and finds the cruise in to be a giant waste of time (besides me, of course). I had lived there for 7 years before I went to it and I was glad I hadn't given in earlier. Needless to say, I don't ever anticipate going again. Jack love it though, so I guess that counts for something!
