Family "Stay-cation"

Earlier this week we had our first family overnighter. Gabe took off Monday-Wednesday so we decided to head down to SLC area for a quick family get away.

On Monday we headed to Hogle Zoo. Miles is too young to really care about the animals, but he sure enjoyed looking at all the people. The only animal he noticed was the leopard that was pacing in it's enclosure.
Gabe caught me off guard in this picture, but I though Miles looked cute.
Unfortunately the baby elephant was still off exhibit, but we did get to see the baby giraffe!
Again, Miles is more interested in the camera than the peacock right in front of him.
Daddy and Miles in front of one of the elephants. Miles heard a kid throwing a tantrum, which was way more exciting than an elephant eating it's lunch.
After a long day at the zoo Miles and I decided to head back to the hotel for a nap.

On Tuesday we drove over to Park City to do some shopping at the outlets. It's a good thing Gabe was with us or I would have gone broke at Baby Gap. We left the camera in the car and didn't want to walk back down to get it so, no pictures...sorry.

On Wednesday we took another quick day trip over to Bear Lake. Gabe has been wanting to go all summer. Miles loved the water, he even tried to swim away a couple of times.

Mommy and Miles playing in the water.
watching the people next to us put their jet ski's in the water.
"Oh No! Mom look they drove their truck into the water!"
What a fun day!

Miles did so great. He took good naps and slept great in the pack'n play. I have to admit, he did a lot better than I thought he would. The only time he gave us trouble was on the way home. After two full days in the car seat or stroller he was pretty upset when we buckled him in to come home. I had to sit in the back seat and sing to him the whole way home from Park City. Poor Gabe!

P.S. I finally got a decent shot of his pearly whites!

How fun. I love going on little trips. I always worry about how Little A will sleep too.

Sounds like a good time. I agree with Miles I think watching people can be more entertaining sometimes than watching the animals.
