Today marks the beginning of the next "stage" of my life; my internship has officially begun.
I will be spending the next two weeks working with the USU extension office as part of my public health nutrition rotation. The majority of my time will be spent teaching nutrition education lessons to low income families and volunteering at other nutrition focused community agencies.
I have spent the last month stressing over the fact that I was going to have to leave Miles, but we both did so well. I was so nervous/excited about everything that leaving my son with his grandma didn't seem like such a big deal anymore. Miles did so great. I really don't think he missed me at all. He had so much fun playing with Zach (cousin) and all of grandma's toys that he didn't even notice I was gone. He ate well and took great naps, both of which I was worried about. It is such a relief to have that first day over with.
Now that I know that we can both "survive" being apart maybe the next 7 months won't be so bad?!

You are with Extension, does that mean food $ense? Do you get to work with Candi. She is my favorite. I liked my job with food $ense, wish I was still there doing that job. Good luck!
