Time just seems to move so quickly and there is no sign of slowing.
My not so little man just keeps on growing and is already 3 years and 1 month old.
He has grown into such a cute little monster man and most days Gabe and I find
ourselves chuckling about something he did or said.
Before any more time eludes me I wanted to make a few notes about how sweet and fun and challenging it has been to be the mother of this little boy that God so generously blessed us with. So without further adue here are a few of my favorite things about Miles.
He always wants to be where we are and do what we're doing. Whether it's helping me paint my nails, make dinner, or sweep the floor or helping dad fix stuff and shovel snow Miles is right there to lend a "helping" hand.
He remembers to say please and thank you; most of the time. Don't get me wrong he needs to be reminded every now and then that "please can I have that" goes over a lot better than a tantrum.
Speaking of manners, when I make something he likes, i.e. cinnamon rolls for breakfast, he will say, "Mom, thanks for making these." Melts my heart every time. Such a sweet boy.
He gives big huge hugs and holds on tight to my neck and when I'm lucky he'll grab my cheeks and give me a smooch.
He talks so much and says the funniest things. Today I was cutting his hair and he said, "that's enough or I wont have any hair left, like Grandpa ." (my dad is bald)
He is so smart and has an insane memory. He gets all upset if I take a different route on our way to visit Grandma & Grandpa.
He has a tender heart; he hates it when I'm sad or disappointed and always tries to make me feel better. He has taken very good care of me since I've been pregnant. The other day I had to sit down because I was dizzy. Next thing I know Miles is bringing me his drink of water and said, "here mom this will help you to feel better."
I love that he counts 1-10, eleven, twelve, thirteen, eleventeen.
He loves to read books, play trucks and trains, run, play outside, hop around like a "hopp'n kangaroo", play games like hide-n-go-seek, play with playdough, watch movies, eat anything sweet (luckily this includes fruit), hang out with his dad, visit grandma and grandpa, play in the bath, help mom, go to nursery, get back tickles, and act silly.

Three years old isn't all sunshine and rainbows. We're working through stages of establishing boundaries while letting him explore his independence and usually have a few meltdowns everyday. But overall this little three year old is such a fun kid. What can I say, I'm smitten.
Just wanted to include some fun snow day pictures. You know, because I'm smitten and all.
