When Miles was a baby I documented E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G! If we're being honest I probably over shared, but poor Liam has had very few posts dedicated to him. I never thought I would be one of those moms that went on and on about the first child and then completely forgot to write anything down about the second.
I find my days oh so full and busy, not busy rushing to and from, but just busy making sure my children are fed, clothed, bathed, napped, and hopefully happy. Man, this mommy business is hard work ;).
So, the camera gets left in the drawer all too often; it just sits there waiting and waiting and waiting. I'm sure the poor thing is desperately hoping for a glimpse of our sweet little Liam.
Anyway, lets get back to it shall we. . .
Liam celebrated his very first Christmas and clearly thought that eating boxes is a normal part of the festivities on Christmas morning. How cute are those eyes? He obviously didn't care much or understand anything, fortunately he has an energetic big brother that was all too willing to lend a hand when it came time to open presents.
Another exciting first that occurred around his 5 month birthday was the arrival of two sweet baby teeth.
Unfortunately those adorable little buds were also accompanied by a pesky teething rash.
For about two months we really thought he was going to start crawling "any day now", but he just took his time. At about 6 1/2 months he finally figured it out and has been on the move ever since. I love it when he hunts me down when I've left the room.
He is even trying to pull himself up to standing - not quite there yet though.
He had his first Super Bowl experience at Gma and Gpa Jensen's house. I'm sure he had fun since Miles took some time to camp out on the floor with him. I love watching them together, their love is so amazing to me.
Have I mentioned his curiosity? No! Well, he is gives George (the monkey) a run for his money. His favorite things to chase and examine include cords or any kind, knobs, all things shiny, and of course anything remotely disgusting like the broom and vacuum.
He HATES to sleep. Whether it be nap time or bedtime he would much rather be up playing or watching Miles. We have a video monitor and all too often this is what I find when he is supposed to be sleeping.
Can we say - STINKER!
Did I mention he loves his big brother? Yes? Oh, well, he does. A LOT.
His is a ball of fun and we love him to pieces.
Here are a few highlights of the last few months:
- He started to crawl
- He got two teeth
- He started eating solid foods more regularly and loves everything you put in front of him
- He is trying to pull himself up to standing next to the furniture
- He loves to chew on anything and everything - seriously he can't touch anything without it going straight into his mouth.
- He is SO wiggly. If you've held him you know what I'm talking about, if you haven't I can't explain it you just have to experience it. He is a non-stop mover.
- He loves all things shiny
- He loves to chew on cord - I think we've got them all out of reach now. Yikes!
- He has started to babble; mamama, dadada, bababa - I don't think any of it means anything yet.
- He is still all smiles, nearly all the time.
Love you, Liam. You make our world a happier place!
