Container Gardening

What do you do when you want to grow a garden,

but live in a third floor apartment?

Well, you just have to think inside the box a little.

That's right inside the box. As in flower box.

I decided that I am going to give

container gardening a shot this summer.

Miles is old enough to help and get excited about it

and I've always wanted a garden; so why not?

Here's my cast of characters...

3 planters, potting soil, and seeds (which are happily waiting inside that brown bag)

We planted; peas (yum!), onions, lettuce, and spinach.

I thought about making cute little cards that

identified each containers contents, but then decided

I'd figure it out when (if) they started to grow.

Update: Our garden is now 3 weeks old and has started

sprouting lovely green indicators of spring.
