Lions and Tigers and Bears...Oh My!

Okay, so Hogle Zoo doesn't have lions, but we did see tigers and bears.

First off let me say...YOWZA! Has Hogle Zoo always been so expensive or am I just a tightwad?

Well price tag aside it was a fun afternoon.

Last week Miles decided that we needed a family day that didn't involve endless amounts of house projects or yard work so he asked if we could go to the zoo. We discussed it and told him that we could go the following week on Daddy's day off. So when Thursday rolled around Miles asked Gabe if he had to go to work. When Gabe said no Miles quickly responded, "YAY that means we get to go to the zoo!"

That boy of ours sure has a memory. We had not talked about going to the zoo all week long, but he didn't miss a beat when he realized it was Daddy's day off. So off to the zoo we went.

After visiting a few exhibits Miles decided we needed a better game plan. He pulled out the map and proceeded to tell us where we should head next. It was seriously too cute.

Liam was completely captivated by the whole experience.
