4th of July in Cache Valley

It still feels weird to say we came to Cache Valley on vacation.
I think CV will always just feel like home. Man we miss it!

Anyway, so the first part of our week off was spent at the Tetons (see post below)
and the second part of our week was spent hanging out with our families
and...enjoying the CV Cruise In.

No 4th of July weekend is complete until you've walked around the fair grounds
in unforgivable heat and/or sit along historic main street watching
the parade of classic (and not so classic) cars go by.
At least that's what the Lucero boys seem to think.

Gabe went to the car show with his dad and brothers while Miles and I stayed
with my parents in air-conditioned luxury.
However, true to form we hit up the parade that evening and watched
Miles experience his first cruise-in parade
(well, first parade ever).

Some of those engines are just too loud for little ears.
Are you love'n his Hello Kitty Band-Aid as much as I do?

Mmmm Water. Can't get enough of the stuff on hot summer days.

We ran into our friends Jared and Sharon and their cute kiddos.
We haven't seen them in forever...it was so good to see you guys!
Gabe is trying to show off his "vacation beard" and
apparently thinks it makes him look tough.
We miss you Cache Valley. Thanks for the great weekend!

It was fun to run into you guys at the cruise in. It looks like your trip to the Tetons was fun too (as fun as camping in a tent can be right). Jared wants to go up there and take the kids but I don't know if we'll make it this year. Maybe next year.

Gordon just looked over my shoulder and said "He is cute. He is one cute little guy." He did not specify if he was referring to Miles or Gabe ;)

I love Cache Valley too
